100th Anniversary Of First Flight

On December 17, 1903 Orville Wright took the first heavier-than-air manned aircraft for a 12-second spin at Kill Devil Hills in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. Later that day his brother Wilbur flew the plane for a 59 second span. This was considered the first official airplane and is also considered one of the most significant technological leaps mankind has taken in history.
